According to reports, when construction started on the Leverock's restaurant building, a prehistoric stone altar was discovered on the property. Strange faces can be seen clearly carved into the side of the rock which experts believe was used by Timucuan priests to make sacrifices to the Gods as far back as 2000 years ago.

Today, you can see the stone altar for yourself. It sits in a small garden right at the front door of the restaurant.
